Menu

Woodblock is a restaurant that offers delicious food and great service, making it a popular choice among diners. However, many reviewers mentioned that the restaurant is extremely loud, making it difficult to have conversations without shouting. Despite the noise level, patrons enjoyed the unique dishes and great margaritas offered at the establishment. Some diners felt that the service was lacking during their visit, with long waits for attention from the staff. While the food received mixed reviews, with some finding it bland and boring, others enjoyed the unique small plates and veggie burger options. Overall, Woodblock seems to be a trendy spot with exceptional service and tasty food, but the loud environment may not be suitable for a romantic or intimate dining experience.

Was Shayne Harvey at Woodblock a mag?
Woodblock has a unique veggie burger with a falafel patty. The hostess was able to get that made for me, although missing in the diner menu, so maybe just ask for it. The Burger tasted fantastic and the Pommes were right. I have a table in the heated tent on the street, it was a beautiful environment overall. View all feedback.
What Bradly Morar dislikes about Woodblock:
The food was fine, the cocktails good, but (after one of us had finished the meal but the other had not) we were asked about wrapping things up every 4 5 minutes. It was just after 3:00pm on a Sunday, most tables were empty, we were not keeping anyone from their reservation so to pressure us to leave was both needless and rude. I won't be back; message received. View all feedback.
We met some friends here and had a reservation for on a Friday night. The place was busy the whole time, and crowded at the door which is a pinch spot-not for claustrophobics. Happy hour prices include some small plates from a limited menu that can be ordered from any seat in the restaurant. Roasted cauliflower with no sauces was plain but healthy, and the chicken wings were good with two sauces one sweet and one mildly spicy. I picked this place for the gluten-free options and fresh sounding menu. It was good for both. The quinoa-kale salad with salmon or chicken extra was good. The waiter said they could not remove the jalapenos from the salad but we could not taste them at all. Salad was delicious. Recommend a reservation since this isn't a super big place.
This is a great place to go for happy hour or for business lunch dinner. Service is always prompt and professional.
We had some delicious Gnocchi with short ribs and a tasty Kale salad. I will come back for those two. The wine inventory must have been low, because it took tries to get a bottle of wine that was in stock.
Here's a rewritten version of your restaurant review: Whenever we go out, there's a 99% chance we end up here, and I can see why. **Pros:** Every aspect of the experience is enjoyable. **Cons:** They know the value of what they offer. The service was outstanding, although the lack of a standard uniform occasionally led to confusion between a hostess and a friendly local patron. This perfectly reflects the atmosphere that Woodblock creates: it’s truly a gathering spot for the community—a place to chat, connect, and enjoy life. Now, regarding the individual dishes: - **Smoked Salmon and Crab Dip:** This dish is primarily a smoked salmon dip, with not much else in terms of flavor. However, if you adore the taste of the sea, it's certainly prevalent here. Just be careful if you plan to kiss someone afterward! - **Brisket Gnocchi:** The addition of burrata elevates this dish significantly. The cheese is flavorful and refreshing, pairing beautifully with the main tomato-based flavor. The vegetables, while nice, don’t quite justify the extra $4 for just six pieces of broccoli and arugula, so I’d skip that. Overall, the food is delicious. As for whiskey, I enjoyed the Westland and 2Bar selections from the "Drink Like a Local" flight; these flights are well-presented in snifters, adding to the experience. Tuesday offers half-priced whiskey, making it a great opportunity to try something new!
Without a doubt, this is the best restaurant in downtown Redmond. The staff is fantastic, and the owner is incredibly laid-back and easy to talk to. The food was exceptional; I had the scotch eggs that you can see in the photo, while my partner enjoyed the brisket gnocchi, which was honestly the best I’ve ever tasted. I’ve been a chef for over 15 years, and after this experience, I’m now a lifelong patron. This place has everything, including an impressive selection of whiskey that will amaze you. The entire team, from the chefs to the bartenders and servers, provided well-executed and prompt service. I couldn't ask for a better dining experience. I look forward to coming back soon—thanks for a wonderful evening!
