Hui Lau Shan - Redmond

I go to this place pretty often. Drinks are good and refreshing but the customer service is nonexistent (no friendly greetings, no smiles just a bunch of staff that look unhappy to be there and irritated that you are there).On my last visit I forgot that my kid doesn’t really enjoy the jelly in one of their drinks so after I had already ordered and paid, they were still in the process of making the drinks I asked if one of them could be made without jelly and and the workers all just looked at me like Deers in headlights. Made me feel like I said something really bad. Then finally one of them said that it’s an up charge of 75 cents to not have the jelly which was a little confusing to me because usually it’s a up charge to include toppings. I repeated it .75 to not have the jelly and he explained that yes because they have to add more fresh mango. So I was like OK and was ready to run 75 cents on my cc but then he said it’s ok this time around. Long story short, when I received my drinks they all had jelly I asked if they all had jelly to confirm and they said yes and again just starred at me like I was a unicorn and the interaction about the jelly 2 minutes prior didn’t happen. Such a bizarre experience.Business owners need to understand that customers will return to a business for a mediocre product with excellent customer service but will not return to a good product with bad customer service. Customers want to be valued and appreciated especially when they spent their money at your place of business frequently.

This is a Chinese dessert place. The desserts are dominated by mango, strawberry and coconut flavors. Don't expect a super creamy western desert here. I personally like the place, this definitely adds a new dimension to the definition of dessert.

Visited HLS last week and was impressed with their wide variety of desserts baes on mango. The staff was friendly and helpful in suggesting some of their popular mango baes items. Savory, yummy and sweet, brand new flavor from stores I visited.

I recommend Triple Delight if you like sweet red bean and Mango Chewy Ball if you don't like sweet red bean. I recommend Mango on Mango Juice in Mango Jellies if you like mango and just want a drink to go!!

Mango desserts had a very fresh flavor to them. The mango chunks had lots of flavor and their desserts are refreshing without being overly-sweet. Great especially during the summer's hotter days!
