The northerner steakhouse is re opened 4weeks ago new owner and chef great menue byo for now the steaks are dry aged the salad bar is stunning the atmosphere is old school chef tom is amazing happy and cooks a great steak Carl the owner has a great up front face that greats you and takes your orders there still BYO but that's about to change go in enjoy a great feed. This place sucks, if you want badly cooked steak, terrible service and a boring experience than come here, otherwise go somewhere else.
No flavour in any of the food, no music or atmosphere, waitress had no idea what she was doing, 'free' salad bar was pointless.

We actually booked this for a birthday dinner when we got there our table hadn't been reserved then got talking to the chef he has been in the game for 35years so I was excited as I love a good steak we ordered our food,went to the salad bar wasn't a great selection and what I tasted wasn't that good our steaks arrived so plane I got chips and my partner got a jack potato and we both got sauces Dianne and a mushroom the jack potato was a joke was a potato wrapped in foil nothing else no butter sour cream or anything my partners steak was charcoaled on the outside and not seasoned tasted terrible my steak wasn't as bad but still no flavor and the taste of carbon now the worst part was the sauces they were both the same except one had mushroom and mine was not Dianne sauce,there was no garnish on the plates or anything either I can do a better job on the BBQ with the kids helping I will say that the know D's cheese burger was OK but the spaghetti was terrible and to top it off the waiter or floor guy was rude to a couple that had come in to order and made a bit of a scene which I find pretty unprofessional
Made a reservation on a thursday for a Sunday night, arrived on time and there wasn't a table ready.. or even a table big enough for 8 people so after moving some furniture we sat down and ordered, we all ordered a scotch fillet cooked medium/rare some with diane gravy some with mushroom, some with jacket potato some with chips. The entrees came out and the oysters kilpatrick were filled with a watery substance and didnt taste nice at all, garlic bread was burnt, then the food came out and presentation was pretty sloppy, steaks were nearly black on the outside but red inside? No seasoning at all on the steaks and the jacket potatos were literally an unwashed potato wrapt in foil. No sour cream or maybe tomato sauce to cover the soil taste. Salad bar was terrible, the potato salad was edible i guess but potatos were still hard. The whole place needs a makeover and just overall looks really dirty. Whilst there another customer complained about waiting a long time for a drink and he was told to "**** off and never come back, go on go home" yelled at the top of his voice definitely nothing positive to take out of this place.
