What Fay Bartsch likes about Chumley Warner's:
Best substitute for British fish and chips in Brisbane, batter is on point, chips are spot on and the gravy is perfect. Curry sauce is not as thick as in England but still tasty. The smaller serves are still huge and big enough for a decent size meal. The pork faggots are also great and worth a try. Great variety of British drinks. Also pickled cockles and chip shop malt vinegar for sale View all feedback. What Kole Tromp doesn't like about Chumley Warner's:
Got a take away this eve for family. Chips are like bags of dark brown soggy grease - inedible .... absolutely disgusting. Hubby said sausages were tasteless, kids refused to eat them and the chips. Fish was OK. Def will not be going again ever. View all feedback.

read moreChumleys, a British fish and chip shop in Brisbane, offers a unique take on the classic dish that might not appeal to everyone. While some customers found the meals to be greasy and lacking in flavor, others praised the authentic British tastes and generous portions. The long wait times seem to be a common complaint, but those who appreciate traditional English fish and chips seem willing to endure it for a taste of home. Overall, Chumleys seems to cater to a specific niche market of British expats and fish and chip enthusiasts, but may not be to everyone's taste.
