I visit Redhead Beach Cafe often, it great as I am disabled and can sit at the chairs , have fantastic coffee and watch the kids. Had a bacon, egg and tomato relish roll on last visit, it was great. Great fish and chips for kids and as they open at night sometimes it's great to have food, views and a glass of wine with friends, just a great casual place to take friends . View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Redhead Beach Cafe:
We got there at 2.30 very keen for a burger only to be told they had stopped serving burgers as the place closed at 3. It shouldn't take over 30 mins for a burger at a takeaway store to be made...Anyway settled for fish and chips which were ok but the fish pieces were very tiny.I also had a milkshake which is possibly the worst milkshake I've ever had. Fortunately not too expensive but still, not hard to shake a milk... View all feedback.
The food and coffee at this restaurant are excellent, and regular customers rave about the delicious vegetarian burger. They also appreciate the relaxed atmosphere.
Ordered fish and chips 45mins ago. Still waiting. They ran out of parmesan bread and schnitzel, but only told us 30mins after ordering. Atrocious.
Very nice Fish and Chips here. They also have a great wood fire pizza oven, though I did not try the pizza this trip. I have to say that the fish cocktails are really like a fillet instead of the bite size I usually see around. I ordered 8 pieces with medium chips for the wife and myself, but the fish pieces were so big we could have fed 2 more adults. The fish was great (Hoki) and will go there again for sure to sit in side or outside to look at the beach and Redhead.

We traveled all the way to Redhead to try this restaurant and were disappointed to find out that the chef had already left for the day. As a result, we were only able to order fish and chips, which was not what we were looking for. We had hoped for a variety of café-style options like focaccia, toasted sandwiches, or gourmet burgers. Instead, we were served mediocre, greasy fish and chips that could be found at any beach kiosk. The café itself lacked effort in creating a pleasant dining atmosphere, with worn-out tables and chairs exposed to the elements. With some attention to detail and a commitment to offering more diverse menu options, this restaurant could be a much more enjoyable experience.
