Simple, delicious home style food.<br/ <br/ The eggplant parmigiana was so tasty, even the ravenous carnivore didn’t miss the meat. The pasta is excellent; and the wine list is spot on as well.<br/ <br/ A great neighbourhood gem
Enjoyed a midweek dinner here with a friend for a cosy catch up. How did I not know this place existed, and SO close to the station! Staff were really accommodating and easy.<br/ <br/ Cosy, neighbourhood winebar vibe out front, and a back bar for more liquid-like catch ups. Rotating specials, but the ragu parpadelle is honestly something else.
What a gem of a place. Fantastic spot for a dimly lit nice dinner and drinks.<br/ <br/ I started with the zucchini flower which was perfectly fried in a light batter and sprinkled with pecorino cheese. Oh my. I then had the pumpkin and pistachio ravioli in lemon butter sauce. I was worried it was going to be two small of a serving as often other restaurants give you 4 pieces, but this was a good serving size. The pasta was al dente and the flavours were delicate and beautiful.<br/ <br/ I tried some of my friends Lamb Pappardelle and it was so flavoursome and rich, it might have actually been my favourite. Staff were friendly and pleasant.
A restaurant and bar in Redfern. It's always pretty busy so put your name down and wait out the back at the bar until your table is ready. The bar has some great cocktails, not your regular type. interesting ingredients and nicely presented. Our table was ready in about 40 minutes and we went to the restaurant. Food options are mostly Italian pastas with some schnitzels etc. I went for the orichette with garlic and chilli. This was ok. I'm not a huge fan of little prawns cut up inside, might be better with large ones. We shared brocolini and fries. Service was quick, very quick.
I 've wanted to come here for a while having been attracted by the buzz and the atmosphere .As it is always 'first come , best dressed ', I 've often been turned away. I was not disappointed, we managed to get a window table (4 people) and the restaurant was pleasantly warm .We ordered mushroom arancini which we tried with some of the homemade chilli oil . The flavours were incredible and we were all impressed. There were an array of options (all from continental Europe mixture of Italian and Eastern European predominately) and specials for main , rave reviews for the lamb ragu, beef goulash and prawn pasta . We were all left full, with generous portions even the boys couldn 't finish entirely . The Wine list was double sided and comprehensive. Would definitely come back and absolutely recommend it. Service was prompt and friendly , we were finished in an 1 hr 30 which was great for a Wednesday night .
