Nice cafe with comfy seating inside plus outside seats. Service was quick, standard prices, good size meals. I had the eggs benedict with ham, I really enjoyed this, hollandaise sauce ham was yum the eggs cooked well. My partner had scrambled eggs with bacon toast, which was a big size. The place was not too packed for a Sunday lunch. View all feedback.
What Laurence Herman doesn't like about First Drop:
I heard a bunch of good reviews about this place, and every time I ate here the food was great but oh man, it consistently took forever. One morning very hungover we dropped by for a take away bacon and egg roll... 40 minutes later we were still waiting. I tried again and took my family for brunch... We waited for more than an hour. The food here is delicious but the consistently poor service makes me dodge it. This... View all feedback.
I’ve been wanting to visit this cafe for a long time but I’ve been busy. I’m glad to say that my visit was really worth it. The food was delicious and the coffee was great! Very friendly service too. Everything I had was a pleasure to eat but my favourites were the roast duck noodle bowl and breakfast burrito. Delicious dishes.
Huge portions, delicious coffee and ample seating, the perfect neighbourhood brunch spot! We ordered the baked eggs which came with some truly delicious chorizo and the egg white omelette with smoked salmon, which came with the largest portion of smoked salmon I have ever seen. The coffee did come out after the food which was odd, but it was so delicious and there was quite a queue of people for takeaway coffee so totally understandable. Overall great experience and will definitely be back.
I love fried chicken and to be able to bring it forward to a mid-morning meal of brunch with the Southern Style Fried Chicken Eggs Benedict was perfect. The chicken had a tasty, crunchy coating, the eggs were perfectly poached, the kale nice and crispy and the whole thing was doused with sriracha hollandaise. The biscuit it was perched on was perhaps a little too big as I couldn't finish it, but I'm never going to complain about having too much food! I also had the Serious George smoothie which has the magic combination of banana and peanut butter with dates, chia seeds and coconut with soy milk and coffee. It was super thick and really filling. Great service and the cafe has a cool vibe, particularly out in the street when the jacarandas are flowering!
For a solid big breakfast, this is your place. Portion sizes are generous, produce is quality, what more do you want in a big breakfast. Highlights were the the bacon, fresh eggs with a deep yellow yolk cooked to your liking and they use pepe saya butter. <br/ I ate the vegetarian version of the big breakfast which I thought was equally as good as the regular version (with meat). The ingredients were quality and again, a big, hearty portion. <br/ <br/ And it’s a big brekky that isn’t decorated in flowers, it’s the real deal! <br/ <br/ <br/ I will be dropping back for visit again soon!
My best friend and I had just had her hens night the night before, and her wife to be was like let’s try this cafe, she googled it. It had good reviews and we said why not. <br/ <br/ It’s a small cafe that pumps out amazing food! It’s so busy but the turn over is quick. It’s what you want on a weekend so you can get out and enjoy your days off. I was surprised that the food tasted amazing for how fast it came out! <br/ <br/ I had a egg white omelette with salmon. To die for! Recommend it!! <br/ <br/ My friend had maybe the vegetarian breakfast but changed it so she can have scrambled eggs instead! It was amazing the only down fall was! The bake beans where so so spicy it was crazy....<br/ <br/ My other friend had some kind of poached eggs with pesto. It was the most amazing pesto I have ever tried! <br/ <br/ The coffee was delicious made with love to perfection. <br/ <br/ Love this restaurant highly recommend it <br/ <br/
