**Restaurant Review: A Mixed Experience** Nestled in Southern California, this restaurant offers an enticing menu but leaves guests with varied experiences. While many rave about the delicious tacos and standout dishes like the steak sandwich and pizza, others express disappointment with cold food and inconsistent service. Wait times can stretch unexpectedly despite a seemingly quiet atmosphere. Tacos, tacos, tacos! The tacos at Lola Gaspar are absolutely phenomenal! I constantly crave their mushroom potato tacos and the prawn chorizo tacos. And if they ever have their pastrami tacos on the menu, be sure not to miss them! The service is also impressively quick once you're seated.
This is my favorite restaurant, and I always make it a point to visit whenever I'm back in Southern California. Unfortunately, I had the same server for the second consecutive time, and she was disappointing. This is actually my first negative review about a server. She never checked in on us to see if we needed anything—be it more drinks, additional food, or anything else. Moreover, she didn't introduce herself after we were seated by someone else, so if we hadn't asked her, we would have had no idea who our server was to place our order. The restaurant wasn't very busy, with many open tables available. Because of this experience, I won't be returning next time I'm in town.
The food and service were outstanding. I truly appreciated the atmosphere. It's an ideal spot for a romantic date.
My wife and I came for our weekly date. We had 4 dishes, chile relleno, octupus, grouper taco and barbacoa taco. All were outstanding. We had to take the non-taco dishes home because we couldn't finish them. Maybe 3 taco dishes the next time.
Went to this place for the first with a dear friend. Great Sangria great Prawn and Chorizo tacos! Waitress was awesome!
