Description

Thaali restaurant in London has received mixed reviews. While some diners have praised the delicious food, friendly service, and reasonable prices, others have complained about long wait times, rude staff, and cold food. Despite the positive comments about the food, the negative feedback regarding service and management issues suggests that Thaali may not be consistent in providing a satisfying dining experience to its customers. If you decide to visit this restaurant, it may be wise to prepare for potential service hiccups and keep your expectations in check.

We loved this restaurant so much that we kept coming back. We were only in Ilford for a week, but this was definitely the best food experience we had. Highly recommend!

This was recommended by some acquaintances and we decided to try our luck for dinner. The location of the restaurant is not great, shady area, however food was good.I was craving for some aloo and methi parantha and they simply tasted awesome. The waitress was very polite and flexible while taking the orders. Also, its very reasonable pricing. Good food, but I wish if they could do home delivery in my area as I do not wish to travel to this location to have food.

This is my third visit to this restaurant and I decided that I will not return. I had written a review back in February saying that if the service improved then this will be a fabulous place to eat, but despite the review and telling them on my last visit in May, it has only gone backwards. Front of house staff are awful and surly. Back of house can't time dishes to come out together. An example of this was that we were a party of 11 and ordered our mains at the same time. My wife's pau bhaji came out first and she held off eating it as she wanted everyone to eat together. No such luck. It took a further 15 minutes for the other food to come (in dribs and drabs) and by that time it was cold so we had to send it back to be heated. They've raised prices so they're not as reasonable as before and whereas the food tasted good on previous occasions, this time it was bland and unseasoned. These are all simple things that can be rectified but the management seem to be trying to do things on the cheap to maximise profit. Their excuse for the tardiness of the food is that it is cooked fresh, but other establishments that I've been too have the same ethos AND time service appropriately. Sorry Thaali, this was the last straw, never again.

We entered the restaurant and were welcomed by a friendly and polite waitress. We placed our order and our food arrived promptly. However, we were not satisfied with the dal makhni, but the staff kindly replaced it with a new portion. Despite the noise from our group of five children, the staff never complained. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was peaceful, possibly due to the time of day.
