Naturally, we decided to grab some dumplings afterward to chat about our newly acquired skills! We visited the newer location of Fat Dumpling, which is part of the collection of restaurants that recently opened on King Street in Bowen Hills.

When we mentioned it was a birthday celebration, the staff—who we had never met before—surprised us by providing beautiful balloon displays at their own expense and made sure to accommodate all our needs, including keeping our ice cream cake frozen. They are a genuinely kind and wonderful group of people, which is reflected in the fantastic food. We love dumplings, and this place is quickly becoming our favorite. As a vegetarian, I appreciate the delicious options available, especially the shallot pancakes. The service has consistently been prompt and friendly. Thank you!

Enjoying dumplings and drinks in a tapas-style setting was a fantastic way to spend a weekend afternoon.
