Lovely barge on the river by Kings Meadow. We reserved a table as gets busy. Friendly staff. We had the full cooked breakfast the Whittington vintage cream tea (they did us a selection of cakes). Between 4 of us, there was nothing left on the plate!.
This restaurant offers a fantastic cream tea with delicious sandwiches, scones, and cakes. The setting is beautiful and the staff is lovely.
What a delightful surprise and perfect way to enjoy a Friday afternoon. The staff at this restaurant are so friendly and attentive, the food is freshly prepared, and the pot of tea is huge. We are fortunate to have this place so close by and cannot wait for our next visit. Thank you!
This charming café had a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The family who owns it are truly attentive to their customers, providing a refreshing change from the usual chain restaurants in London. The prices are very reasonable for the quality you receive, and the traditional teapots and teacups add a lovely touch. We were pleased to discover this hidden gem and will definitely return if we find ourselves in Reading again. Make sure to book in advance as it tends to get busy!
This was lovely. Delicious food. Delightful service. Charming setting. We've been before for more traditional fayre, afternoon and cream teas. Today we tried the Friday menu and we weren't disappointed. We both had the beef satay rice noodles which were yummy and very filling. Will definitely be going again.
