The quality of the food was quite good. The pub was calm when we arrived, and they have an online system for placing orders. The staff was friendly as well. However, it did take about 40 minutes for the food to arrive, and another 20 minutes for the dessert. That aspect could use some improvement. Overall, the service was satisfactory. View all feedback.

I was very disappointed with the service by a member of staff this specific day. I was outraged with the way she communicated to other members I was with. The woman who served us was pregnant since I am unsure of her name. After asking where our food was she completely brushed us off saying “I don’t know how long it’s going to take”. We came to celebrate a family birthday. We ordered drinks and cocktails and food. The bar people always were welcoming and friendly and always remembered our drinks order. I thought the food was the best meal I’ve had out in Reading in years!
Booked a table for 1-30pm was told you can’t order food as the chef opened up some new chicken which was a bad batch, didn’t need to know this just say chicken is off the menu, ordered a Pepsi which was flat asked for a replacement which was flat so I asked for a lemonade which was also flat so I took it back said to the lady in charge I don’t want this drink so she took the drink with no apology or offer of another drink but they took my money for this. We ordered food which after 50 minutes hadn’t arrived with a restaurant with only five tables in use this is ridiculous so asked for money back so did another family as they had a long wait for food which they said was cold when it eventually arrived. This has to be the worst restaurant I’ve ever been to.
You can improve on your meal times as we waited 2 hours for our food and then my partner had some plastic inside his burger
Do not go there unless you want terrible service. Been there twice and had trouble both times. First time they served me frozen pizza and refused to refund. Next time we ordered desserts and they claimed not to received it on their system and refused to give a refund. I would advise to avoid at all cost. Better of going to the travellers rest where the service is way better.
Wont be going back again. Had to wait more than 20 mins to get my drinks that were ordered on the app, in fact had to check that they were being done and they weren't. After an hour of waiting for food was informed that the kitchen hadnt started cooking it yet so wouldnt be able to tell me when it would be ready, still waiting for the money to be credoted back. This isnt the first time, in fact on my last visit waited an hour for food and had a booking cancelled last minute at Christmas which left us with nowhere to go. So wasnt 3rd time lucky and means that I wont try a forth time, used to be good but not the same since reopening after covid. and chnage of management..
