The curry and momos at this restaurant are fantastic. The family who runs the place is always friendly and welcoming. They have a great selection of beers, a nice atmosphere, and even a beer garden. What more could you ask for? View all feedback.
What Iain J doesn't like about The Red Cow Pub:
This pub is a local spot that could use a renovation. However, the staff is friendly and the homemade Nepalese fusion food is a highlight. The music can be a bit loud, but overall it's a decent experience. View all feedback.
The Red Cow Pub/Restaurant on Star Road in Caversham reopened in June 2018 under new management – a friendly young couple from Nepal. The pub has been completely renovated and now boasts four TVs, some showing Sky Sports, a covered outdoor area with comfortable chairs for smokers, as well as a small grill and two fire pits/barbecues for colder weather. There is also a cozy seating area with comfortable sofas, a dart board, and pool table. The pub offers a good selection of lagers, Guinness, and some bitters, with sunbed tables in the garden and a jukebox. In the winter, guests can enjoy a beautiful real fire. The menu currently only has a few items, such as noodles and spring rolls, but the owners plan to introduce more traditional pub food in the future. More details on the menu will be added as time goes on, so please watch this space.
This is the best steak I've had in a long time. The service was excellent.

Great pub with a nice neighborhood vibe and good eats.
Friendly staff. Really tasty fresh Nepalese food. Really good value. Also, we didn't have the kids with us but it looked family friendly too.
