What User doesn't like about The Face:
Came to see a live band here and it was so weird. The sound engineer was clearly awful because the mics were feeding back constantly throughout the entire gig and the band were visibly frustrated. The venue itself is an interesting space but it has booths round the edge that feel very dated and need some attention because it feels like an old working men's club from the 80s. Not been here in years . Staff lovely. Went last night to see sham 69 the second group was brilliant but sham 69 I didn't enjoy the lead singer wasn't very good not like i remember. He wasnt singing more likd screaming into the mike. But the drummer was brilliant someone said the drummer is the only one left in the group the lead singer and backing guitarist is new.
This place should have been closed and refurbished years ago. Not a very appealing place to hold a function, dark, dinghy and rough. Dress code come as you are, trainers, jeans and t-shirt. The place is a sweatbox with no air con or ventilation. In response to the rude comment from the owners.. I certainly have no intention whatsoever of ever visiting the Face bar ever again. Thank you!
Great little venue for intimate gigs, and some decent bands play here. I've seen The Amazons and Porridge Radio here in 2022

As a punter, this is a fantastic venue. The staff are friendly and it's very easy to get between the two rooms. As a photographer, it's a challenge the lighting is nearly non existent.
