The makrele with rhabarb, fennel, salsa verdi, and hazelnut crumbs had a good taste, but the flavors seemed a little muddled. For the main course on a Sunday afternoon, I had the roasted bark meat which came as two thick slices on top of slightly warm vegetables and soggy bratkartoffel. The Yorkshire pudding was good, but overall the dish was not impressive. I think opting for the BBQ outside would be a better choice next time.
This is a great option for canal boat renters in search of somewhere to dine. The menu offers a good variety of dishes that are regularly updated, so no need to worry about a limited selection. The staff is welcoming and attentive, and the prices are reasonable. Definitely worth a visit.

The restaurant is situated in a beautiful location and offers a nice selection of local ale. However, the food was average. The bread provided as a starter was slightly stale. The mackerel dish with rhubarb, fennel, salsa verde, and hazelnut crumb was decent, but the flavors seemed to clash. For the main course, we ordered roast beef on a Sunday lunchtime. The beef was tough and the vegetables and roast potatoes were only lukewarm and soggy. The Yorkshire pudding was the highlight of the dish. Overall, the experience was not great. It seemed like the BBQ outside would have been a better option, and we would opt for that next time.
This restaurant is a great option for anyone renting a canal boat and in need of a place to eat. They offer a variety of dishes on a regularly updated menu, so there are no daily specials. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and the prices are reasonable. Overall, it's definitely worth a visit.
