I didn't eat here to not comment. but the great selection of beers was...big cozy beer garden also.

Visited a few times during the last stay in the city. the first time (good Friday at midday), it was somewhat depressing because the two servings were so misera... read more Visited a few times during the last stay in the city. the first time (good Friday at midday), it was somewhat depressing because the two servings were so miserable. they didn't see customers in the eye and seemed as if they weren't going to do their work. after a few we took the note and moved on. but on Easter Sunday afternoon it was completely the opposite. many employees on, mostly female, and extremely friendly and communicative. So we stayed for some. it really makes a difference. the various animals we drank were all excellent, and some tasted unusual. they serve beer in various festival glasses, a quirky touch. we sat outside in the surprisingly large garden, which has set plenty of shaded seating and tables on artificial grass. Despite these earlier impressions, nag’s head finally proved to be a top student and lived up to his call.

This was recommended to us by another pub when they were closed for a private function and what a recommendation. Absolutely amazing range of ales and craft beers, great staff, lovely sausage rolls, and a happy atmosphere. Looking forward to returning again soon.
