such a great selection of beer both cask and keg. the employees are very knowledgeable, so if they are not sure, just say what they normally like and they will recommend something. View all feedback.
What User dislikes about The Nags Head:
I last visited this place around 2002. It's not changed a bit, a real shame, as it's as ropey today as it was then. Gutrot beer, and scabby old rolls. I even think the drunk Irishman in the corner, is the same bloke. . ....What a tragic state of affairs. . . It's even got that timberframed mess next door, It's as if I never left. View all feedback.

Stay in reading for 3 nights in nags head 2 this night. great little pub. the selection of the beer. the personal is friendly. I didn't eat here to not comment. but the great selection of beers was...big cozy beer garden also.
Visited a few times during the last stay in the city. the first time (good Friday at midday), it was somewhat depressing because the two servings were so miserable. they didn't see customers in the eye and seemed as if they weren't going to do their work. after a few we took the note and moved on. but on Easter Sunday afternoon it was completely the opposite. many employees on, mostly female, and extremely friendly and communicative. So we stayed for some. it really makes a difference. the various animals we drank were all excellent, and some tasted unusual. they serve beer in various festival glasses, a quirky touch. we sat outside in the surprisingly large garden, which has set plenty of shaded seating and tables on artificial grass. Despite these earlier impressions, nag’s head finally proved to be a top student and lived up to his call.
Great pub, nice atmosphere, excellent range of beers. Everything you could want in a pub.
