Miah's Of Pangbourne - Reading

Although this is not my nearest Indian restaurant this is rapidly becoming my preferred venue for the occasional catch up with friends. Quite small and cosy, it provides an interesting take on the usual dishes and the service is always courteous without being over friendly. Judging by the number of people coming in and out while I was there, this also seems to be Pangbourne's takeaway of choice. Great for a quiet night out but would probably go somewhere else for a large crowd evening

Great food, good portion size, reasonable prices, excellent service. I've had takeways from here and eaten in the restaurant. It can get busy as it's a not a huge restaurant, so I'd recommend booking in advance.I used to get my takeaways from a restaurant nearer to where I live, but changed to Miah's as the service was poor at this other place. I'm glad I changed as I've not had any complaints since.

Fantastic customer service and even better food. I tried to order chicken pakora without realising it wasn’t on the menu but the manager had it made specially for a very very reasonable price. I look forward to returning.

After spending a day out we decided to order some food and collect it from Miahs on the way home. I ordered online and paid with PayPal as that was an option. We got to the restaurant only to be told that the computer was down and no orders had gone to the kitchen. These things happen, but we couldn't wait and order again so my wife asked for a refund. The staff in the restaurant said they didnt know how to refund in PayPal so I put in a claim for a refund when i got home. No reply. Had to raise a claim with PayPal and they still didn't reply. PayPal have now refunded my money because Miahs wouldnt engage in the process. Needless to say we will not be using them again.

During our stay nearby and craving an early dinner out, we opted to try this restaurant. We were pleasantly surprised to discover they offered a special deal on weekdays (Monday/Wednesday) with a selection of starters and mains for £13.95, including rice and naan. We also ordered some poppadoms, pickles, an extra vegetable dish, and two drinks, bringing our total bill to a reasonable £42. The food was fresh, tasty, and plentiful. Street parking was difficult, but we followed their suggestion to use the Dentist carpark across the road as they were closed, which worked well for us.
