Clay's Kitchen - Reading

The food here is absolutely amazing. We started to get their vacuum-packed meals during the lockdown and they were so good we were excited to go and eat in the restaurant. We were not disappointed. The menu is creative and so delicious. The service is informative, warm and friendly. Really an incredibly pleasant culinary experience. This is my top recommendation for dinner in Reading.

Excellent service and food. Not the typical curry house menu but good to get a change. Rice crackers are a nice start. Cauliflower, pork and prawn starters very good. Definitely going back.

What an amazing dining from home experience. One of the best authentic curries we have had. I just hope they carry on delivering once they open again. Best Indian restaurant in Reading (I've tried quite a few)! As many reviews say, this isn't your normal Indian restaurant, this is way better. The menu isn't massive but the options are all enticing and really different to the norm, the drinks menu is excellent too including a couple of delicious local breweries on tap (the excellent Double Barreled and West Berkshire Brewery) and a great selection of gin and rum. I had pork belly to start and chicken with tamarind for main. Both were excellent, depth of flavour and spice were perfect, and the sides of rice and mixed paratha were super tasty too. Last but not least was the service, I'm not sure of his name but he was superb. Very attentive, very professional and very helpful throughout the meal. Will definitely be going back to try more of this lovely menu.
