Don't know what's the fuss or truth about... read more Superb tasty food esp the rice dishes and kebabs. We cant find any faults in all the dishes tried. Good portions too. Don't know what's the fuss or truth about cleanliness as other reviews mentioned. The table were cleared immediately after diners left given a good clean from what we can see whilst dining there. Courteous staffs compliment the restaurant.

They sell chicken karhahi which is the mix of tomato puree and chicken. Can someone please teach them how to cook karhahi. The menus... read more I visited a couple of times previously and it was quite good. On this occasion I had some concerns about the cleanliness, table was not well cleaned. The menus were were scrappy state, mine was missing a page and there are only like 2 pages inside! The food was tasty, had a lamb curry but there was A LOT of oil floating on top, very unhealthy. I don't know if they have it like that in Afghanistan but in UK we don't expect it like that, so unhealthy. I really wanted to spoon it off but there was nothing to put it in. It tasted good but was not a huge quantity for the price. If there was more sauce and less oil it would have been fine, the lamb on the bone was tender. Ordered a mango lassi after meal and the waitress took some time and returned to say she made a new one? No idea that there was an old one or what happened with it. We didn't get our soup but it appeared on the bill, they did remove it at least. In my opinion it needs to be managed better, there seems to be plenty of staff but not run well.

More worrying were the following points: The kitchen door was open; the man who was serving at the counter was also going to the back and handling raw meat he did NOT wash his hands. He also was eating himself and then coming out front and then returning to the back, his hands touching raw meat and other surfaces (he even put them in his pockets but with NO handwashing. the descriptions in the menu doesnt always correlate with what you recieve. When challenged the staff are defensive and make up silly excuses (e.g. almond and pistachio are not served as the council forced us to remove it. If that's true, alter your menu to reflect this fact! Scary
