We first came here in 2013, and discovered a jewl on the coastline. Coming back 6 years later, things have only improved. katherine and her team have expanded and improved the restaurant, but kept the excellent menu, as well as the beautiful lemon tree on the patio. The food was amazing, again, and the wine was delicious, and the service excellent. We had a fabulous evening and will return again next year! View all feedback.
What Melitta Geiger doesn't like about Maurin des Maures:
We ordered a fish. The waiter cleaned the fish in front of us and put a vinaigrette on top of it, without asking us, if we liked it. The side dishes were terrible: overcooked and tasteless vegetables and a potato gratin that looked like it was some leftover warmed up! To be avoided! View all feedback.
We had such a great experience whilst visiting as a family of four from the UK. We stayed up the road at La Villa Douce (which whilst amazing doesn’t really cater food for children! . We have driven past the restaurant on several occasions in the pursuit of exploring the area. We wish we had stopped and eaten here sooner it was the best meal we had experienced in the area! The best service. The best value for money. The best food and creativity without being obnoxious. Thank you chef for some really good food which catered for adults children
We were reluctant to book this restaurant given the recent bad reviews. However it was the only restaurant that opened in time for us to have dinner and attend the concert which started at 9pm. From the moment we were welcomed by the manager and shown to our table overlooking the Iles d’Or, I knew we had made no mistake. What do you want in a Cote d’Azur restaurant? Excellent informal service, good local ingredients in the hands of a creative chef. Maurin does this in spades. The menu is very fish oriented, but there are also a wide option for vegetarians and meat eaters. The star of the show is the bouillabaisse, and the head chef makes quite a show when one is ordered. We had a fantastic meal and we will be back.
We used to love this place- great weekly band, good fish and atmosphere but this August was awful. The melanzana and courgette cake seemed prepared or frozen and arrived half warm and gloppy- truly inedible. The fish didn’t seem fresh and was tasteless and came with an awful vinegar. I realise that it’s been hard times but to charge those prices for this sub par quality is not on. Bring back the old standards and quality please!

Very honest and good kitchen. No chi-chi. The fish soup is great. Fresh sauvage fish and shrimps. The Menue had so much options that you could be there every day for one week. Dede and his crew are great. Working with passion for the guests. Very good wine, local onces. Nice view to the bay of Rayol. In the evening with good smell of herbes. I will come back, honestly.
