What Betty Stanley doesn't like about Candyland Cottage:
So my husband and I we live in Lake Charles took a trip to Rayne, Louisiana. We saw this AWESOME LOOKING PLACE called the Candyland cottage we decided to Stop and check it out. Well there were at least 5 employees just staring at us when we walked in... No Happy greeting...No Greeting...they looked quite miserable... So we walked around and looked at ALL the WONDERFUL CANDY... BUT THERE WAS NO CUSTOMER SERVICE...WE W... View all feedback.
The first time I was in the Candyland Cottage in Scott. I love both places. Staff are very friendly and helpful. If they're not busy, they're chatting with the customers. I have one of my grandchildren for the weekend and decided to stop by. What child would not be happy in a shop full of candy. They also serve milk shakes drinks and food.
Great place to stop for a leak right in front of the Interstate. It has an old time to feel ice salon. They sell blue bell ice leaves, but also have a wide selection of fudge, beautiful looking truffles and a range of sweets. They have a seating area in the store and benches outside. You have a drive-thru window if you can't make it inside, but the cute decor is worth the stop inside. Nice, friendly, quick service.
You can imagine all funny sweets. Truffles, ice cream, nachos, hot dogs. Sweet partner. A great little fun stop in Louisiana!
We visit family in LA for Christmas and visits to Candyland are now a tradition. We go mainly for the Bluebell ice cream, but enjoy the view of all vintage candies. Pop Rocks, Whistle Pops, gold mine rubber bags and the list goes on and on. We spent an hour here and could spend much longer. The service was quick and friendly. The ice of Rocky Road and Jamoca Almond Fudge became delish. At the same time enjoyable and nostalgic.
The shoppe is so cute! It has so many classic candies and fudge and treats. The prices are great! The snocone isn't totally my preference with the cream but I appreciate that the lady at the counter let me taste test the syrup.
