This restaurant is part of the best fuel system with many truck parking spaces. There are no potholes in the parking lot. The restaurant is authentic and clean. It's a good place to make a stop. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Stinker I-80 Travel Plaza:
Definitely avoid ordering a ribeye here…unless you really like trying to eat leather. I asked for extra butter for my baked potato and was allowed 2 small squares. No refill on my tea…guess the waitress was busy with the 2 other customers in the place. I’m confused with all the good reviews.. I thought I was going to get at least a decent meal, and decent service. Nothing close. View all feedback.
The sewer system is in poor condition and the portable toilets in front of the restaurant are unsanitary and poorly maintained. This is another reason why I do not recommend dining at this place.
This restaurant has the best breakfast sandwiches I have ever tried, from the west coast to the east coast and back again. I traveled 6000 miles and this was my favorite place to eat on the road, not just on this trip. The service was amazing and the food was exceptional, earning a million stars. Everything is homemade and I truly felt at home, even though I usually don't feel that comfortable in new places. I will definitely be coming back here for the rest of my life, no matter where my travels take me. Thank you!
This is the best restaurant I've come across on I-80 (from California to New Jersey). Everyone here is incredibly kind. The food is amazing and the prices are very reasonable. Please never change anything, especially the French fries. They are delicious! Most places end up serving them overcooked.
I am giving this restaurant 2 stars because there is always parking available. However, my wife and I were disappointed when we visited today. The men's bathroom had a strong smell of stale urine and was unclean. We were also hoping to order our favorite dish, fresh mozzarella sticks, but they were not available. Unfortunately, the restaurant is now closed on Saturdays and only open until 6 pm on the days it is open. The main reason we used to stop here was because it was open 24 hours, but now we will be taking our business elsewhere. It is frustrating to see that many major chain truck stops are replacing sit-down restaurants with fast food or hot bars, and now even good stops like this one are following suit. As truckers who operate 24/7, we need access to sit-down restaurants, not just hot bar food - it's not the same experience. It's a shame to see another good stop ruined.
This parking lot is convenient. The restaurant's hours are inconsistent, so even if it says 11-7, they might close at 5. However, they do have decent options in the hot food section. The prime rib sandwich seems small for $10, but when I transferred it to a plate to warm it up in the microwave, I found it to have a satisfactory amount of meat. The bathroom is too small for the number of customers. Two stalls are not enough. The store has good offerings and the staff is friendly. Overall, it is an okay place.
