Cups... read more The hot drinks quality and choice of almond or soya milk is great. If you prefer no caffeine, they do excellent orzo (roast barley alternative to coffee . Cups are small and expensive. (Baffuto Gellateria down the street is the place to go for amazing vegan ice cream. There is no sign about vegan options at Cafe Calce, or any drinks options, you have to ask. Yet they are a bit short with you if you ask for something they don't have. The toilets are quite nice though lack seats. Given it costs 1€ to use the nearby public toilet, perhaps you can consider the 4€ small cappuccino is really 3€ plus toilet use. Lots of indoor seating, so is great in a rainstorm. If this was the UK this place would not make it to Happy Cow. However, having plant milks in Italian coffee places is yet to be taken for granted, though getting more common. The bus stop back down to Atrani and Amalfi is not far from here: the other side of the piazza go left through the short road tunnel to the bus stop with a great view. Get a bus ticket at a tabacchi first (there's one in the piazza , and be sure to have a face mask. There are a couple of small food shops on Via Roma, which this cafe is on the corner of, to get basic picnic ingredients from, and plant milks. Updated from previous review on 2022-09-26

I saw a few kittens hanging out in front of this restaurant… Dining while watching them playful and frolicking is such a relaxing experience.

Good flavour although a littl... read more A rocket salad with tomatoes was fine followed by some tasty pizzas. Base is crisp as opposed to the traditional Neapolitan style. Good flavour although a little heavy with tomato purée. Reasonable priced bottle of rose, water and a couple of espressos made for a nice lunch which is good as Ravello can sometimes be very overpriced. Booking recommended, we were fortunate enough to get one of the last free tables. Nice setting in the garden area.
