Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen - Rapid City

I don't usually eat fast food, but I absolutely love the naked chicken strips! I had stayed away from Popeyes for a long time due to previous experiences with poor customer service, but that wasn't the case at this location. The staff here was incredibly friendly and attentive. I often hesitated to order the strips because they are made to order, but when I got to the window, they told me they were cooking them fresh, which I really appreciated. They were actually quicker than I expected. Everyone was so courteous. I will definitely return!

I requested everything to be spicy, but only one of the burgers came with the spice I expected. It's important to double-check orders when picking them up, as it seems the staff doesn't pay much attention to details, particularly with online orders.

On August 22, 2022, I experienced an incredibly long wait in the drive-thru, spending 15 minutes waiting for food that never arrived, which prompted us to leave. When we inquired about our drinks, we were given them without ice; when we asked why there was no ice, the staff member stated that their machine was broken. It would have been helpful to know this when we placed our order. There were about five employees working, and I was very disappointed with this visit. It would have been nice if someone had communicated the reason for the delay.

The staff and food deserve a five-star review. The team consistently impresses me with their positive attitudes and excellent customer service. The food is always hot and delicious, and I've never encountered any issues with my orders. However, I can't give a full five stars due to the incredibly long wait times I've experienced at the drive-thru. On one occasion, I waited a full 53 minutes for my order. During my last visit, the wait was slightly better at 26 minutes, despite only having two cars ahead of me. As I left, I noticed a line that nearly wrapped around the building and wished them good luck!

I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. They forgot part of my order, and the potatoes were drenched in heavy sauce. The red beans and rice also missed the mark; it was just plain beans, with no flavor. Honestly, I'd rather return to Popeyes, where I got food poisoning right before a big flight, than come back here.
