We had a reservation for a party of eight on New Year's Eve. The wait for our food was at least 45 minutes, but it was excellent once it arrived. We enjoyed generous portions of salmon, walleye, steak, and a meal salad. It can be tough to get fish just right, but both fish entrées were cooked to perfection! What User doesn't like about Minerva's Rapid City:
The menu was varied but the food was bland. The Walleye was dry and tasteless and the salad bar was mediocre with tasteless potato salad. Our waitress was attentive and very helpful. View all feedback.
Service was good, we had a great server. Only thing was they didn’t have what they said was a special on the blackboard. Husband really wanted the ribeye and not buffalo
Excellent service and food! Wonderful ambience! Made a special family time great!
We got sat in the walkway between the host table and the hotel entrance, which was a constant flow of people and kids in and out. The food was mediocre compared to a year ago at the same restaurant. Entrees, like steak and signature meals, should come with a soup or salad option, not at an additional charge to the meal. Overall, just not a great experience or a romantic vibe atmosphere. We were quite disappointed in the quality for the price.
Lots of noisy kids running around, the entrees came out before we were done with our salad, my chicken tasted strange and was overcooked, and my husband’s pasta dish had overcooked and rubbery shrimp. Manager was nice, but we won’t be back.
We enjoyed the Chislic appetizer. Meat was very tender. Walleye entree was good, as was the Oktoberfest pork special. A woman was allowed to bring her young dog in to the restaurant. It was not a service animal. That turned us off, so we skipped coffee and dessert and left.
