After a friend took me here a week ago, I have been back 4 times for lunch! The food is basic, but it is VERY good and extremely affordable. I typically go the 2 for $8 roll (happy hour 12-3), but outside of happy hour it's $10 for 2, so still really good value. Chips are also good, and they have a good selection. This will be one of my regular stops. View all feedback.
What Mya Rempel doesn't like about Little Shenkin:
would have this caffe on a list of restaurants that I would like to visit. very cute, hipster-y interior with a large menu selection to choose from. in a good place (right in the center of randwick junction), where you can't miss it, as it is right at the corner. friendly staff and great service. eating was beautiful and at the same time brought out (I got the shakshuka with chorizo and my friend got the waffeln), an... This is one of my favorite places to dine. Despite its small size, it has a charming atmosphere and great background music. I have visited several times and have always enjoyed their delicious meals. Their coffee is also top-notch!

Went to little Shenkin for a casual dinner. It's bigger brother is very popular in newtown. Israeli style food with a lighter option than the original store. Easy to find on the corner of Alison and Belmore Road. It serves breakfasts; eggs, breads and baked eggs and coffees. I went for dinner though and there's some great options; wraps, mixed plates, sides of chips and baked cauliflower. We ordered the Ziva platter which has baked filo pastry filled with mozzarella, olives (though couldn't taste them), cheddar and ricotta - this was delicious!! It came with a boiled egg, and some sauces; tomato, coriander and Hummus. Great little share plate. We also ordered the famous baked cauliflower; love this!! Topped with tahini and paprika. This was enough for 2 people and we were quite full, ended up being $15 which is pretty reasonable. Fast service and nice atmosphere; though it's a very small place! They also do takeaway for those wanting to eat at home. Check it out - always very busy. aroundtheclockfoodie.com
Like this little corner cafe. it is almost an escape from the over busy road. the waitresses are very friendly. the food was quite large portion. i could not finish on my own. it was very tasty. definitely should come back again.
I love Little Shenkin. The first time I walked in I was greeted so warmly, and the second time my coffee order was remembered! The coffee is probably the best in Randwick (although a bit on the pricey side...), and the hot chocolates are amaaaaaazing!!! I haven't actually tried the food, except the pastries (which are incredible), but the menu looks delicious. I love sitting inside to study or read, and there is certainly no pressure to leave quickly.
