Was bon heineken at Blue Monkey a mag?
Whenever I travel to Sydney I usually come here for dinner once during the stay. It has never disappointed and the dishes are always brilliant. Beef rendang is always nice and their duck dish is impressive. View all feedback.
What Luis Barros dislikes about Blue Monkey:
I have happily eaten at and ordered from this restaurant for 7+ years, but no more since they have succumbed to **** MenuLog! Once upon a time, if my order was incorrectly delivered, Blue Monkey would have corrected it as a priority. No more. With MenuLog, if they get your order wrong, you have to wait ANOTHER HOUR for delivery of the missed item (because, somehow, it is your fault! . Well, Fkcu that! It’s actually e... View all feedback.

Have had take away and eaten in at Blue Monkey randwick and can't find fault with it. The entrees like spring rolls are fresh and the duck rolls are so good. Curries excellent and stir fries never disappoint - this place is one of my absolutely fave restaurants. You will love this place :)
I went here last night and absolutely loved every dish, food was very tasty. I will definitely be going back. Highly recommended. The Penang curry was delicious
Been there twice now and will gladly go back. Excellent Thai. Love the Musman curry. Their entrees are excellent and good portion sizes. Everything else is of high standard. Highly recommended
This is a regular of ours, our favourite is the stir fry with yellow curry sauce and chicken. We also like the pad kee Mao with peppercorns. Nice modern interior and good service.
Blue Monkey is actually one of my fave Thai restaurants to dine in for a date night Really lovely ambience. It was great for me and Leon to pop by after a lovely swim at Bronte Beach or to head out for movie night afterwards hehe. We ordered the standard dish we love, Yellow Curry and Pad Kee Mao. And for entree, we tried the Deep Fried Prawn in dessicated Coconut. Just delicious. Crunchy on the outside and just nice. Our Yellow curry was served with beef. The yellow curry sauce is sooo good, we savoured every single drop. Pad Kee Mao is one of my favourite stir fry dish. The green fruity things on the first image is actually green peppercorn. Edible and not as peppery as you would think. Pad Kee Mao was served with flat noodles with chicken, vegetables and chilli. The dish is completely different from what you'd normally get from Pad Thai. Can't wait to return to try other dishes at Blue Monkey! And loving the service. The staff is super attentive and you can always ask them what's good hehe.

The staff were very kind and the food was delivered to our table so quick : Chicken Pad See Ew was delicious, good price and nice staff.
We are locals and order from here almost every week. It's our favourite Thai restaurant. Food is always delivered piping hot, and delicious! Great value too.
Probably the quickest service I have ever experienced. Delicious Pad Thai, good price and nice place overall:
Very rude staff. We will never go there again. We called Wednesday to reserve the table for 5 people on Saturday. Staff told us that they don 't make the reservations. We asked twice over the phone to reserve the table as it was a birthday celebration but staff told us to come at 5.30pm and we will get the table. When we turned up to the restaurant a few tables already had "reserved ' sign on it. Staff were very rude to us and said that we can dine there only till 7pm.

Great Thai food. The Duck in Plum Sauce with Spices was delicious. Already know what I am having on my next visit
This Thai joint has been a staple at The Spot for many years, and it never disappoints. There’s always a good crowd on a weekend, testimony to the consistently decent food, fast service and reasonable prices you can expect. Four of us dined on a busy Saturday night. We took the precaution of phoning ahead to book a table, which was just as well, because it was pretty full and we wanted to sit outdoors, where there are only two tables but we got one of them. Being a warm, early autumn night, we were quite comfy there and enjoyed a laid back and relaxed meal. As this place doesn’t have a “licence” to serve alcohol to consenting adults, we had to dash across the road to the nearest bottle shop to grab a few bottles of beer, then ended up paying $3 per person, for the pleasure of drinking our own grog. But then I guess it’s not the fault of the restaurant, just the archaic rules around alcohol service which we seem to tolerate. Go to any mature country in the world, and all restaurants and cafes serve alcohol to adults, no such thing as “licences” required to do so. Having quenched our thirst on some good value beer specials from the popular and well stocked BWS at St Paul’s, we proceeded to order. We choose fish cakes $7) and curry puffs $7) to share as entrees. The fish cakes were firm and chewy, just the way we like them, and the curry puffs had a crispy outer coating and a savoury veg filling. Standard Thai dishes but well done. For mains, I choose the massaman beef curry $20), the others choose tofu $17) and seafood $23) dishes, accompanied by brown and white rice. My massaman curry had lashings of tender meat pieces, cooked with potatoes and cashew nuts. The tofu dishes were fresh and tasty; same with the seafood. Serving sizes were generous and we all enjoyed our meals. With corkage, we ended up paying $109 for the two starters, four mains and two serves of rice. Good value for money in these difficult times. As we sat outside, acoustics were fine, apart from the deafening noise of the occasional bus pulling up at the kerbside. Service, as we have come to expect from Blue Monkey, was fast, professional and efficient. Orders were quickly taken and meals came out at a steady pace, in the correct order. The atmosphere, inside or outside is laid back, casual and relaxed. There are separate male and female toilets, down the narrow corridor at the back past the storage and kitchen areas. The male toilet was reasonably clean and well stocked except I couldn’t find the light switch for the cubicle, so had to fumble around in the dark. Blue Monkey is in the heart of the bustling “Spot” dining and entertainment precinct in Randwick. It’s a solid and reliable choice for a Saturday night out with friends. The food is flavoursome, service is first class, and prices, even without any deals, are reasonable. The atmosphere is pleasant and there’s always a fair crowd. Parking is never easy around here, so I usually drive straight past and head to Howard Street, where I can normally find a “spot” excuse the pun) and it’s a level, 10-12 minute walk to the restaurant.
Blue Monkey in the Spot at Randwick is fantastic. First time we went there was last night despite living in the areas for years. There is an interesting take on a number dishes and the whole barramundi with the Thai salad. The lamp chops with the black sauce is also amazing. Atmosphere is fun and relaxing, staff friendly and chilled. Great experience!!
Good meal. Nice background music. Ordered and liked the drunken noodles. The green chicken curry was ok. The chilli beef was nicer. They brought water out without being asked so a big plus.
