Wit Grit - Randolph
Wit Grit
Description
Tucked in Randolph, this lively brunch spot serves fast, lovingly prepared breakfast and inventive specials — its breakfast burrito earns near‑universal acclaim. Friendly, attentive staff deliver hot plates and balanced cocktails (notably a spicy Bloody Mary) alongside a rotating beer selection; vegans and meat eaters find satisfying choices. The local, welcoming bar attracts families, solo laptop workers and travelers. One recurring complaint: a repetitive classic‑rock playlist that undercuts the vibe.

Needed a true brunch and couldn’t find what we were craving in barre; we made the accessible drive to Randolph to give Wit Grit a go. It did not disappoint. The menu is not overwhelming- but has a good selection for meat eaters and vegans. We were immediately sat and mixed drinks were at our table in no time. Food was also fast and HOT. Had a delicious burrito and nicely balanced **** Mary. Servers were all friendly and attentive. Saw a range of customers: a couple of old timer Vermonters, a family with an infant, couples, groups of friends and solo people at the bar with laptops. Friendly atmosphere and will be here again.
For the love of god change the music. the standard classic rock radio playing the same ten songs everyone has heard roughly 12 million times cheapens the vibe so. much. lame AF.
I loved this place! I stopped in on my way through town to get takeout breakfast to fuel a short hike on the Long Trail. The service was the perfect amount of friendly, courteous, and quick. While I waited I noticed they stock a fun selection of beers to enjoy for guests dining in for brunch. The food itself was delicious well prepared and seasoned staples (I had the breakwich). It was so good we drove 30 minutes out of our way to come back for a sit down breakfast on our way out of town the next day! My girlfriend got pancakes with compote (which I tried and confirmed excellent), and I got the biscuits and gravy which were you guessed it delicious. The atmosphere felt like a local place and it was clear they care about the small details; our salt and pepper shakers were cute antique critters. Definitely stop in here if you're passing through, or even nearby!
