Wimpy - Randburg

This restaurant has improved significantly after its recent makeover. It has a fresh, modern look. I ordered some of my favorites: a mega coffee and a streaky bacon breakfast with an extra grilled cheese. Both dishes were served piping hot, which was a delightful change. The service was good, although I did feel a bit overlooked after some time, but it didn’t detract from my overall experience. My food was excellent!

I recently stopped by for a quick Wimpy breakfast and thoroughly enjoyed it, especially with a mega coffee on the side. I felt compelled to write this review mainly because of the restaurant's impressive refurbishment; it looks fantastic! The smoking area has been removed, which has opened up the space and let in more natural light. It's great to see that the kids' play area is still there, as I could hear children having a wonderful time from the parking lot. Despite the busyness of the restaurant, the service was quick and friendly, true to Wimpy's reputation. The owner was actively engaging with customers, which likely contributes to the restaurant's popularity. My Farmhouse breakfast was exactly as I ordered, and the new giant mug for the mega coffee is a fantastic upgrade. Overall, it's clear that Wimpy is making an effort to keep loyal customers returning after many years in South Africa.

There's not much that can go wrong at a Wimpy. I'm always welcomed with a friendly greeting, the food comes out quickly, and they offer free Wi-Fi. Plus, they have a generator, so whether there's load shedding or not, this Wimpy is prepared!

Couldnt fault the service and the food. The staff are all very hands on and friendly. The fully loaded dagwood is super delicious and topped off with a coffee was the perfect start to a thursday and their proactive staff ensure you are looked after.
