Nice ambiance, excellent service, and great food. We shared a bread basket, heirloom tomato salad, mushroom tartine. Entrees were chicken confit, pork chop, skirt steak, along with two bottles of wine. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening. View all feedback.
What Helga Weimann doesn't like about Provenance:
Even though you can make a reservation on THEIR website, they do not want to honor it. The waitress was baffled at a reservation. It gets busy and super loud to the point that even though you are yelling in someone's ear....they can't hear you. View all feedback.
Love the unique menu. Different each time we done here. Haven't had a dish I iddint love!
We had a great experience; service and food was excellent. Atmosphere was great as well. Easy to have a conversation. Overall experience great and will recommend to others.
Really disappointing. I had heard great things about Provenance however the portions were small and unimpressive. The menu sounded great but was just not executed well. In addition, we were asked to leave our table and sit at the bar while we were finishing our last drink so they could seat another party. The only reason that our dinner lasted two hours was because the service was slow and the restaurant was behind. Not a valid reason for moving diners (after we had already signed checks and tipped).
Food featuring local ingredients was wonderful. Perfectly cooked pork loin, delicious heirloom tomatoes, and heavenly desserts. Great recommended bottle of 1/2 price wine on Thursday. Suggestion: Tell server to not offend dinner guests by explaining to them which utensils to use with each course. 42 year olds have got that down. If you don't have enough dinner forks if someone accidentally uses one for salads, buy more.
We tried out this restaurant during Raleigh's restaurant week. The tasting menu was excellent, and we really enjoyed the food.
