Just the meal I needed during a day of music. Conveniently located to the Red Hat Amphitheater, Poole'side Pies excels at service, taste, and decor. The restaurant is themed like a pool, with subtle details like a 3ft sign at the bar and pool lane tiles. Jackie's service was fantastic. Helping me make decisions on a menu where every item was tempting. The food was great. I had the newest dish a Campanelle with pesto.... View all feedback.
What Linda B doesn't like about Poole'side Pies:
We were there this past Monday and both of our pizzas were burned badly. All we could taste was black char. What chef sends burned pizza to the table and the waitress didn’t seem to understand nor did she apologize It was basically 40+ dollars wasted and I would never bother going back when other places would never think to serve pizza with a black crust. No thanks! View all feedback.
This place is so consistently great, we love it. The food is delicious and creative, the bar is on point, and a huge shoutout to some of the best restaurant folks around, including Sam and Chef John. The service, food, and drinks keep us coming back over and over again.
We had a wonderful brunch yesterday with “egg” brunch items and fabulous pizza. Great service and lots of patience so we could really enjoy visiting with each other.
Ashley Christensen delivers technically sound well seasoned food in comfortable establishments and Poole’side Pies is a perfect example. The Caesar was a little untraditional, a wedge of iceberg with Caesar dressing but the dressing was delicious the whole thing was smothered with fine shredded parm and big enough to share. Half a head of iceberg. The pizza highlights Christensen’s proclivity for perfecting American favorites the crust of the pizza is perfect. Crispy and thin. Anyone who’s made pizza will recognize they’re using the ideal amount of toppings. Anymore and the crust will be soggy but there’s plenty to make sure you get toppings with every bite. Salad, Pizza, and two cocktails split by two people came in a little under $40/person so it’s a little spendy but I’d do it again and recommend it to anyone who likes a great pizza.
Great atmosphere. Fantastic customer service. Great tasting pizza. Reasonable prices.
We were excited to try this restaurant as we enjoy the sister restaurant next door; however, we were disappointed. We had the pizza and macaroni balls. They were both average, good crust on the pizza but otherwise the flavor was bland. The macaroni balls were good but a very small portion size and slightly overdone. In addition, the service was average at best. Sadly, there are better options in the area.
