The restaurant serves cabinet food on wire shelving, with many gluten-filled options placed above the gluten-free options. I informed a member of the staff that this was not a good practice, and she kindly apologized and went to the back to cut me a slice from sealed slices in the fridge. I suggested she use a clean chopping board and knife, which she happily complied with. However, upon returning the following week, I found that they had not changed the cabinet setup and there was still a risk of crumbly contamination. Although I have been a loyal customer for years and have always enjoyed the food, service, and atmosphere, as a Celiac, I am hesitant to return due to this issue. Overall, it is a five-star place to eat, but the lack of attention to gluten cross-contamination is a concern for those with dietary restrictions like myself.

I visited Rock-it Kitchen in Raglan for the second time during my trip from Hawaii and it was a must-visit restaurant both times. I absolutely love the food and the coffee served here. Additionally, the service is top-notch.
We enjoyed the beef cheek and lamb/falafel dish. Great outdoor area with an old tractor for the kids too. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: NZ$90–100 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
