We stopped for lunch: wonderful tagliata and crescent-shaped pasta with walnuts and speck. Everything was excellent and carefully prepared. Honest wine on tap and excellent service. It's an authentic place, without the tourist trappings. We'll be back.

The place is very spartan and that's what makes it a typical old-fashioned inn. We sent friends there on Friday 13 March 2026 and they confirmed that the experience was truly positive, so I recommend it to anyone who wants to eat good typical dishes.

Went to enjoy our last night in Italy, recommendation by our local host. Absolutely most terrible food I've had in a long time, if not ever. We (2) were the only people in there, still took a while to get the menu. Onto the food; Stale bread, vegetarian option had meat grease on it, mushrooms definitely not fresh. Heard the *ping* sound twice, clearly microwave. They had the nerve to charge almost 40 euros for stuff that wasn't fresh and we didn't even have meat. Just as much like an excellent 3 course meal we had in Bergamo a few nights before. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE.

Go local and you won't go wrong: tortelli di patate, polenta venison, the can't-miss gnocchi rosa, the cold cuts plate. all yummie, all must-have. problem may be the portions: very healthy ; we somehow managed to eat all the food but it was a (very tasty challenge ; desserts were also very good. the setting is simple but the dining room is really nice. beware: it's very small with few tables, so book in advance. planB: dine in the bar section. not as nice but actually it's not used as a bar, the tables are big and comfortable, food comes out of the same kitchen anyway. if in summer and if for lunch ask for an outside table: MAGIC! great place to have a typical dinner a-la-Trentina with your friends in a relaxed atmosphere

First impressions were good but we should have been alerted by the unfriendly staff and poor service. We waited in a nearly empty restaurant and we're eventually given a menu, by a waitress who would clearly have rather been elsewhere! We struggled with a limited menu but eventually chose a plate of cold cuts and cheese and a pasta dish each. The first dish would have been fine but spoilt by the sail bread accompaning it. We were not impressed with the pasta dishes. Home cooking perhaps but not all home cooking is good. Definately not worth the money!
