Loris and his staff Chef Natale and the super kind waitress Samanta and her sister Martina will literally spoil you. We called in the morning and Loris said, Don 't worry, take you time. The kitchen closes around 2.30 p.m He also gave us some useful tips about the hike to the Saènt Waterfalls we wanted to do today. We got there at 2.25 p.m. and kindly asked if it was to late, Samanta greeted us with a big smile and said.. No, the kitchen is still open We started with a lovely glass of Trento Doc and then while the rain was pouring down outside we had, the Todays plate of Pasta al Cacciatore, Cervo al Teroldeg, polenta and home made cheese. Together with their house wine Terdolego. Both Trento Doc and the red Teroldego is local wine from the Trentino Region. You should absolutely tried them both! We finished with an excellent Apple Pie. Ah, that 's not true..we finished with Grappa alla Sperula, Larici Camomilla!! Everything is HOMEMADE, even the grappa! I do recommend Malga Stablasolo, and I don 't know about you...but my friend and I will surely be back soon again!! Remember that a phone call is always appreciated. Very helpful staff who were very accommodating every time I went. I was staying at small B&B just down the road so spend a few evenings there for lunch and/or dinner. A great experience!
We enjoyed a very delightful dinner at 1500 meters high in the heart of the Trentino mountains. Two expert guys, with a young and enthusiastic crew, offer an amazing atmosphere at the Stablasolo Malga, with a kitchen based on the traditional Trentino dishes made with fresh and contemporary creativity. We enjoyed tasty tagliatelle (pasta) based on cocoa with game sauce and a huge dish of cured meats and cheese with potatoes fried tortelli . All ingredients are Kilometres zero, you just have to look out of the windows in order to realise free beasts grazing on the grassland. Perfect service, cleanliness and kindness surround the atmosphere in a marvellous panorama. Loris and David invented a new concept of Malga !
We trudged the three kilometers up through the Park to this mountain restaurant (they will pick you up by snowmobile on request, though), and even though I share Churchills' opinion of sport, the scenery is so breathtaking and the food (Tyrolean Italian, nothing very dietetic, but everything very edible indeed) and welcome on arrival are so good that in fact it was well worth it! Count 25 euros person alcohol. A treat is sledding back down on the luges that they will lend you for a symbolic fee. Perfect for a sunny days' excursion!
