Al... read more I used to only eat gelato in Ecuador until I discovered this place! The ice cream here is really good (although the waffle cone is not vegan, unfortunately). All Pacari chocolate here is vegan, organic, sustainable, and fair trade, and there are many flavors to choose from to take home. They also offer coffee and hot chocolate made with plant-based milk. The café also sells desserts like cake, although these do contain milk or eggs.

Instead, I ended up getting two scoops of ice cream and a smoothie. The smoothie was decent and the ice cream was good, but I was disappointed to only receive a small amount of chocolate ice cream when I specifically asked for a scoop of hazelnut and a scoop of chocolate. Despite this, the attached shop had a great selection of vegan chocolate, with the Ecuadorean chocolate being particularly delicious and likely the best in the world. However, I found the service to be very slow during my visit.
