Was Hannah Dörfelt at Craig's Cafe a mag?
I'm a bit tardy with my review, but my partner and I finally had the chance to visit Craig's, which happens to be just around the corner from his place. Our experience there was truly delightful, with the staff being exceptionally friendly and welcoming. The interior space is quite pleasant, and during the spring and summer months, they also offer outdoor seating. For fellow coffee enthusiasts like myself, they offer... View all feedback.
What Mikayla Simonis dislikes about Craig's Cafe:
Craig's Cafe has settled into a comfy dinner service. While still predominantly a breakfast and lunch joint (tasty and popular brunch on the weekends), it serves dinner Wednesday through Saturday. The food and service are first-rate, though the setting speaks more of greasy spoon than of fine dining. I wouldn't take someone there that I was trying to impress, but I love having this reliable and unpretentious place av... View all feedback.
I love Craig’s cafe. Tom and Natalie are awesome. We alway have exceptional food and service. We always feel like we are Having dinner with friends.
We just recently discovered that Craig's is open for dinner and have been back three times. Each time the service was outstanding, attentive, efficient, friendly but not intrusive. The food was delicious fresh, perfectly cooked, nicely seasoned, and presented attractively. Nice menu with good selection, decent wine list, fair pricing. We have enjoyed this place each time we've been there, and really found no negatives, except the decor, which is really basic. Five stars from us, overall. A neighborhood gem.
We must have gone by this place many times but always thought of it for breakfast and lunch and a beer. But when we were looking for a local place on a Saturday night dinner there it popped up so we took a chance and we were pleasantly surprised. While the decor is not going to win any interior design prizes, it is not meant and probably helps to keep the prices affordable. Out of a small kitchen they produce very good above average comfort food, good portions at reasonable prices. We started with a homemade meatball appetizer that featured four large meatballs in a great sauce. For a main had the pork chop which was good size but what stole the show was the lobster asparagus risotto that was creamy and featured large chunks of fresh lobster. The beer choices were more than the wine choices but that was to be expected though the wine that was offered was pretty good. The staff was helpful and very attentive (and even told us to follow up with them if a correction to the check did not come through). Will definitely be back
I?m not usually a negative person but frankly every aspect of my experience here was bad! 20 minute wait to get seated, another 10 minutes to get a cup for coffee, watched the chef dripping sweat over the oven, touching his hands all over, throwingfood/plates around at careless speeds, put receipts right on top of the food, the home fries were hard, the food was bland, andthe prices were high for the dive-bar scene you get
WARNING DO NOT GO THERE I have been here on 2 different occasions and never actually got to eat the food. First time I was seated almost instantly at the bar then waited for over an hour for the food to never show up. Was rudely ignored and neveractually was given an exact idea of when the food would come out. So we left. I returned about 4 months later hoping it was afluke instead I waited about a half hour for a table which is normal for a Sunday morning. But while I was waiting I watched 2different guys leave over take out that was paid for and just never came out. So I knew this was gonna be a repeat but I washopeful I realized as I was being seated that the tables that when I was first got there hadn't been served for that entire halfhour. I still tortured myself and waited for over 45 minutes after ordering and realized it wasn't gonna happen. The food nevershowed and still extremely rude service I have no idea how this place makes any money. WARNING DO NOT GO THERE
