We arrived... read more Having struck out on night 1 of our 2-night stay in Quimper, we were delighted to find the Ceili Pub regaling its customers with music and merriment! We arrived well after 22.00 and it was still packed inside and out despite the damp weather in late June. We had a few pints and enjoyed some local conversation in broken Franglais. To top it off, a 4-piece brass band showed up to entertain us. Not exactly the same as Ireland but, all the same, it's in France!

My husband and I were there in October and the proprietor, Christian, was an outstanding host!!!!We were so happy to find this "gem" as it was the real deal - the decor, the patrons and the beer and wine - the music was perfect!!!

We're almost on the road to drink his drink. I recommend taking beer in a pinch so I don't have to come back too often order at the bar. If you're looking for a quiet bar to land on the weekend, it's not the place.
