We really wanted to try eating in Tuan Tuan cause every time we'd pass by the restaurant, there would always be tons of people inside. The place looks pretty nice and classy but unfortunately we can't say the same about the food and the service. For the food, the plating was pretty sloppy and looked quite heavy at first glance. The dishes weren't even worth their price. We tried the chicken curry, porkchop and rice with tomato sauce, and the lemon chicken. All recommendations of our server, who claimed that these were some of their chefs best. Chicken Curry - 2/5 The worst thing about this dish was how we felt like we were eating potato curry instead of chicken curry. There were probably 3-4 pieces of tiny chicken and a whole bunch of potatoes. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either. The coconut milk or cream that was used on the curry was way too much. We would have preferred it to be a bit spicy, but since it wasn't made to be so, we were given chili sauce which to be honest, we didn't enjoy so much either. Lemon Chicken - 1/5 Looks can be deceiving as at first glance, we thought it would taste pretty good. If we could give a rating below one, we would. It was so oily and fatty. Since it was called a lemon chicken, we at least expected a little zesty flavor from the dish, but nope. Almost no flavor. Would never order this dish again. Pork Chop with Rice and Tomato Sauce -1/5 It didn't look good, and didn't taste so good either. There was way too much sauce, so halfway through the dish, we didn't wanna eat it anymore. Too heavy, in our opinion. As for the service, smiles aren't a thing in that restaurant and yes or no questions weren't answered using words. Here's an example. We asked if we could have the menu, and to our surprise, the waitress just looked at us with a blank face, and left. We were confused but she then returned to our table with a menu at hand. She did so without saying a single word. When we asked for water, the same thing happened with another waitress. So odd. And yet, we could hear them talking to one another. Probably won't be coming back anytime soon. A good concept and packaging for a restaurant. Serves mostly Southeast Asian cuisine and NOT Cantonese cuisine. Lots of choices on the menu. Make your own soup. However all soup are fish based so the soup is malansa. The toppings ordinary. Other items on the menu are nice to look at but are just plain commerciallized food. Even the congee tastes fishy. The prok buns are significantly smaller than Tim Ho Wans.

For the love of them snow buns this place is worth coming back to. I ate with a couple of friends at the UP Town Center branch. With a Chinese x French Cafe vibe interior it provided a pretty background to our brunch date. I like the high windows which allows natural light making the interior very pleasant. Tables were not crowded and allowed for hearty conversations amongst friends.I ate the Cajun chicken, which had a crispy chicken skin exterior enveloping its' juicy and tender meat, served with rice, kang kong and corn kernel. I like it, simple no pretensions. The laksa was also good, perfect blend of creamy and spicy, every sip was bold. Don't forget to bring home some snow buns, try the crispy pork barbecues (3 for 148) ???? lastly be early, seems to be a popular lunch place.
