I suddenly got an immense craving for corndogs so I decided to take a quick break from work to finally try Mr.Franks. I was given a so-so feedback for this resto by one of my workmates but I still thought of experiencing it for myself. 2 crew members were present when I got to the counter and both were busy doing something at the cash register. I stood right in front of them for a good minute before one acknowledged my presence and asked for my order. I got the corndog (4 small sticks for 145php) and a coke zero in can (for 45php). The lady asked what dip would I like for the corndog and I asked her what's good. She offered cheese or sour cream and I decided to get sour cream. I handed her a 1000-peso bill and she checked the register for change before asking me if I had a smaller bill - I told her none. She then excused herself and went out to ask other establishments for change. After about 3 minutes she returned with my 1000-peso bill still in hand, went to the register and handed me my change (NO RECEIPT). I can't help but say in my mind "may panukli naman pala, pinag-antay mo pa ako?!". I wasn't in the mood to complain at that time so I just took my change, sat down and waited for my order. Note that she only started working on my order after settling my bill. The other crew remained busy at the register. After about 5 minutes I was called me to claim my order. I was given cheese sauce instead of sour cream. Again, I'm not in the mood to complain and I'm okay with cheese anyway. The corndog was okay. It was not disappointing but I've had better. To me it's as if the oil used to deep fry it needs to be changed because I felt bloated after finishing it (you know that heavy feeling you get when you had too many orders of fishballs from manong). The only saving grace was that the coke zero in can served was perfectly cold to my preference (no ice was given). Price range is a bit expensive for the quality of food and service so I don't think I'll go back to try their other offerings, but we all have different taste buds so best to try it out yourself if you're curious.

Still full from merienda, we wanted sandwiches for dinner and ended up here. I was eyeing the different nacho combinations but figured I couldn't eat just nachos so went for the Jersey Meal. The hotdog sandwich was ok but tasted better with catsup. It had an italian sausage, tomatoes, onions, jalapeños, mozzarella, concasse and a strip of bacon. I would have preferred a toastier bun and a hotter hotdog. The nachos were real crunchy and tasty. It was quite messy to eat with the cheese and sour cream. A pretty hefty portion for a meal. The food cane with a glass of Iced Tea as well. Hubby kept on saying that he liked my order more. His Baby Back Meal had baby back flakes, corn, jalapeños and sour cream on top of the hotdog. Nothing special about this combination. We couldn't resist ordering French Fries from McDonald's to go with our hotdogs. The hotdog sandwiches and nachos were good but we've had better.
Looking for a quick bite before my meeting, I was falling in line at Sbarro beside it when I saw this place. I thought to myself that hotdog sandwiches are good because they are fast and filling. Plus, they have nachos that I love so much, so I gave it a try. It took awhile before I ordered because I was busy reading all the contents of each sandwich. I ended up with a Jersey Meal for Php298.00. The meal comes with a Jersey sandwich which has Italian sausage, tomatoes, onions, jalapenos, bacon, mozzarella cheese, and concasse. The meal comes with a large iced tea and some nachos with cheese. Overall, it was an exciting dish, but nothing exceptional. I guess a hotdog sandwich is a hotdog sandwich unless maybe the hotdog is super special. I've had better. It's on the expensive side as well. I would probably go back to try their nacho variants and that corn dog, but not something I would go back often.
