lowdown: large empanada solid empanada. I recommend double on everything you can and you end up eating with a cheat anyway. and never!...Ski on the vinegar. eating the king (Beutel/Garlicreis/Longganisa) is great, but I would not recommend for everyone (only for those with great appetit.) do you want to wake up tomorrow? What Katheryn Wehner doesn't like about Empanada Nation:
I was just here once because I was invited by a friend who likes to eat here. he said that her empanada was a little like that with ilocos." for me it was okay long, nothing special, because in really not a fan of empanadas naman. View all feedback.
I have not planned to eat here, but since I saw myself for something new, I tried instead. Order the Longganisa meal, the 3 piece Vigan Longganisa, fried rice, a side of salted egg with sliced tomatoes and onions on "Bagoong Isa" and cattle broth for soup. I was excited when I saw the serving because I know that I am fully and satisfied. I actually did, but I thought the combination of food tasted really salty, and I needed vinegar to balance it. Luckily it did as if I had enjoyed the food :)
Ordered her Longganisa meal (125). It is rice, a salted egg and 3 Longganisas. I liked the Longganisa. It is the leaf kind. Had also the food of her king (185). It is rice, a salted egg, 2 Longganisas and Bagnet. My cousin ordered this and he liked her.
If you are after this authentic Longganisa, by far, one of the sights. It is worth paying money, and you do not stop with this Adobo rice. The side of the tomatoes and Bagoong is a kind and really adds something special for the whole experience.
I always went every time I tend to tend to Ilocano Cuisine. Yesterday came back for lunch and the only thing that has improved is your service. The staff seemed to be aware of now. Bagnet meal served, looks like something that is hard chewing. It does not even look for me. Ilocano Miki noodles looks like something that is drowned in Pancit Malabo sauce and orange food staining for the Empanada wrapper, not to mention the old and plastic chicharone you bring to topize the plate. The only thing that resettles this place is your crispy bagis, but it should have been served in a plate and not in a small bowl. It seems as if they were cutting off the cost of food. Disappointing.
As Bagnet / Ilocano grocery lovers, this resto is the worst so far bilay bilay. Dry and Matigas. Yung Poqui Poqui Lasang Sarciado / Escabeche. Crispy dinuguan saves the day tho.
