The Occidental in Quesnel is a fantastic live music venue with top-notch original entertainment, run by a local family of experienced musicians. They have a variety of styles and genres, a great stage and sound system, and a smoking lounge. The food is amazing, with dishes like the smoked rib dinner and dessert nachos stealing the show. The bar staff is friendly and helpful, and they offer beers from the Barkerville Brewing Company. The venue is absolutely incredible with the best staff and the nicest owners, Barry and Louise McKillican. I can honestly say that the sound and lighting production is top-notch. A big thank you to the sound engineer, Brian McKillican, for being such a professional. Thank you to Occidental for supporting live music!

The Occidental in Quesnel is the top live music venue in the interior of British Columbia. It sets itself apart from other local venues for several reasons. First and foremost, it is operated by a local family of musicians who bring a wealth of experience in the entertainment industry. The variety of original entertainment showcased throughout the week spans a wide range of styles and genres. The stage and sound system are truly top-notch. Additionally, the venue offers a smoking lounge, billiards, a large video screen, and an incredible pub menu. The food is fantastic! - Randy Randle from Williams Lake.

This restaurant is fantastic! The food is delicious and reasonably priced, and the staff is incredibly efficient and friendly. I had a great experience every time I visited over the course of 4 days. I highly recommend this place.
