Didn't want to drive all the way to downtown Gilbert tonight for BBQ. Glad I was lazy because we were super satisfied with our BBQ options here. Full order of Brisket and Ribs were devoured. What Vik Andrade doesn't like about Woodbarn Bbq:
IMO their brisket tastes like a chuck roast made in a crockpot with liquid smoke. The sodium content is high with an artificial/ chemical taste. Their brisket is much, much lower quality compared to the new nearby competitor. This establishment is not real bbq. Just how a McRib from McDonalds is not real bbq. View all feedback.
We accidentally found this cute place while on a date when we couldn’t get in somewhere else. We got our food so quick and it was so good we keep coming back! The staff is super nice. Highly recommended!!
Woodbarn was good however very pricy. They don’t have any per person plates so you just have to order meat by the half pound. All the food was good my only complaint would be the needing to order a ridiculous amount of food just to try different things. Definitely a go with people and split type place.
The BBQ brisket sandwich and 2 sides dishes(beans, and Mac cheese) were very good. I will definitely be going back soon ?

I've been coming here weekly since they opened. They have a amazing lunch special. Best BBQ in all of the valley and owned/operated by a great family. You have to try it.
