What Anonym dislikes about Toroli:
It is hard to say many bad things about this small, Japanese inspired restaurant, as the young Japanese chef and owner is such a kind person, obviously dedicated to satisfy his clients. Yet, one big issue with the place is its cost. It is very, very expensive for what you get. It is good, without being exceptional. For instance, in the creative preparation including hot foie gras and duck filet, the duck was unfortun... View all feedback.

At some point in time, it was Montreal #1 restaurant... and I agree, it was one of the best, with a delicate and creative cuisine. It has always been on the expensive side but it was worth it... Was, yes, because things have changed. I don't know what but based on our recent experience, the once amazing Toroli cuisine is long gone. Starting with the service, subpar for those prices. Then the food, each dish remains nicely presented but the flavours are all wrong. Tons of truffle oil everywhere to the point I didn't even know what I was tasting (apparently it was tuna..what a waste). We didn't eat that and the chef didn't even flinch. Mind to ask your client what is wrong? It's not like he has 50 tables to cater. It summarizes well the situation at Toroli. They no longer care. They went from #1 rank to past #200... If they don't wake up, they will quickly disappear because no one will ever pay $120/pers for this. I won't. For the same price, you can get a much better experience elsewhere in Montreal!

Un des meilleurs restaurants dans lesquels nous avons eu l'occasion de manger, présentation et plats originaux et excellents !

I love this restaurant; it is cozy with friendly staff, serves the most amazing fusion food, and is perfect for a date night out.

This charming Japanese restaurant is small in size but big in flavor! You can watch the skilled Japanese chef at work in the compact kitchen, and the friendly waitress, who is Japanese, speaks with a lovely English accent.
