Contribute FeedbackWhile some diners found the experience disappointing with cold food and lackluster dishes, others enjoyed the modern atmosphere, ample portions, and excellent service. Highlights included the warm bread, seafood linguini, beef tartare, and amazing coffee. The restaurant received mixed reviews on ambiance and noise level, with some diners noting chips in dishes and loud techno music. Overall, the restaurant offers delicious food with varied options and excellent service, with some room for improvement in menu selection and consistency. A pleasant surprise near the airport, it's worth considering if you find yourself in the area.
I went to this restaurant with a friend for our weekly girls night out. We had been looking forward to it for over a week, as you have to reserve a few days ahead for busy nights during early dinner time. Unfortunately, it was a huge disappointment. Despite the high ratings and the restaurant's appearance, it did not live up to our expectations. We were seated between two large groups of people, even though there were quieter spots available. We ordered wine, soup, entree, main dish, and dessert. The butter was good but served cold, the bread was warm but overcooked and hard. The soup was plain and lacked flavor. The parmesan fondue as an entree was a letdown, with duck confit inside that ruined the dish. The Margherita pizza as a main was average and lacked flavor. The creme brulee for dessert was the worst I've had in Quebec City, with a granular texture. The only highlight was the wine. The service was good at the beginning of the night when the restaurant was empty, but declined as the night went on. The servers didn't seem to care when we returned the parmesan fondue after just one bite. The menu lacked vegetarian options and was limited. Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant. I may consider visiting again in the future if they change their menu.
I was impressed by all of Le Commandant!! The duck appetizer and the tartar trio and the pizza were all excellent! The service from Krystelle was superb. The decor is bright and classy. Highly recommended!!
We were there for a friend's birthday, for brunch. The place is very attractive, clean and nicely lit. Tables and chairs are pleasant looking, staff polite and professional. However, that day, food came a bit cold, and roasted potatoes were soft and oily, nobody ate...them. The taste was flat. Coffee is excellent.
Amazing food and incredible service. It’s such an unexpected surprise to find this a unique restaurant so near the airport. It started off as a helicopter tour and rental company, so if you’re spontaneous you’d be able to go for a helicopter tour of the...city after your lunch or dinner.
My wife and I had a helicopter tour scheduled for the afternoon and our flight landed at Quebec City Airport at noon. We arrived at Complexe Capitale and were feeling hungry after a tiring day of traveling. We initially thought the restaurant there would be a basic cafeteria, but we were pleasantly surprised to find a modern and elegant dining establishment. The service was exceptional, with very friendly servers, and the food exceeded our expectations. While I wouldn't necessarily recommend making a special trip to the airport just for the restaurant, if you happen to be in the area, it's definitely a good choice.
