After one frustrating evening in the old city of Quebec, we headed for Rue St Joseph, close to the Best Western, which has all kinds of restaurants, mostly known to locals and far from the tour buses. This pub is half-bar, half English pub, half gastro-pub, I think. With burgers, pizza, fish n chips, shepherds pie, but also chili made with game meats, salmon, salads, and other plates. Great place for a drink, for meeting people. Staff is super friendly and prices are decent.
This restaurant is a relaxed and inviting place to chat and watch sports games. We tried the local beers, which were delicious, as well as the double beef burger and all-in platter. Everything was delicious. The server was very friendly and helpful in recommending dishes.
We enjoyed our visit to this pub. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was clean and comfortable. The beef tacos and drinks were delicious. However, we suggest avoiding the steak here. The salad and fries were excellent, but the steak fell short. Overall, we highly recommend this place aside from the steak.
The classic burger was the best I had in years !
It's a lovely spot to sit on the patio. Try the buffalo cauliflower appetizer.
