**A Culinary Journey: Discovering the Delights and Challenges of an African Bistro** This African restaurant has garnered attention for its exceptional food, with many patrons praising the fresh, scratch-cooked meals and generous portions. Signature dishes, like garba and various fish preparations, often leave a lasting impression. However, the experience can be marred by inconsistent service, from long wait times to uncommunicative staff. Some diners have expressed disappointment regarding undercooked items and lack of attention to dietary preferences. Was Anonym at La Calebasse a mag?
There was a lot to enjoy. The food is always fantastic. However, the service used to be quite slow. Fortunately, they have made significant improvements in that area. I have updated my rating to 5 stars. View all feedback.

What Anonym dislikes about La Calebasse:
The food is excellent but their customer services really sucks. I ordered 3 fishes for pick up. Gave then 1hr notice. I went there after making me wait for 20 minutes and told me that it wasn't ready that they need an extra hour. You need a lot of patience to eat there. View all feedback.

The food was fantastic! The portions were huge! Absolutely delicious!

However, I’m not particularly fond of atiéké; it has a somewhat sour taste that didn’t sit well with my palate. In the end, I prepared the rice I had purchased earlier. It was Sada brand rice from Mali, known for its special fragrance. The grains were slim and sticky, which I enjoyed. Overall, I was satisfied with my meal. This place also offers a variety of African goods, including cosmetics, fish, and frozen meats like beef tripe and oxtail.

Zero points, it doesn't taste like a real chicken tchep. No cabbage in the dish or carrot or tomato sauce in the rice. Extra vegetables? Only onions and pieces of peppers. Plus it's badly cut. Change
