I had an eggplant parmigiana appetizer, my husband had minestrone soup. I ordered a carbonara for my entree and we shared a creme brûlée for dessert. All was tasty, served hot and the service was very attentive. There were dozens of wait staff around at all times. Unfortunately I came down with COVID two days later. We should have sat outside. The inside seating is very close together. You really are packed in tightly. And if you have a boisterous man sitting at a table next to you, then you get to hear his entire conversation. A fine, solid restaurant. My only problem was the seating.

The waiter was very friend... read more We arrived late to our hotel and noticed that Matto was still open. We were seated at a table outside and enjoyed a wonderful dinner. The waiter was very friendly even with a large group of patrons to serve. After a long day of travel we were able to enjoy a relaxing meal, taking in a beautiful view of the Old Port district

The Mama's salad and pr... read more We would love to return to Matto. Because we had a reservation they offered us a very fancy table, but we chose to dine outside instead. The Mama's salad and prosciutto arugula salads were perfect. The mussels in marinara (appetizer), vongole pasta and lasagna were also very good. A nice evening.
