Was Rowland Ernser at Général Tao a mag?
We thought we'd give it a go and to be honest, the food was really good! We had the tasting menu, had soup, sprint roll, orange beef which was delicious, general chicken, prawns, vegetables and rice. Followed by pudding, tea/coffee. We enjoyed it - it doesn't get 5 stars as the place is dated inside and the pudding had very odd sauce over the cake, was not good at all but everything else was nice, would go again. What Tavares Rohan dislikes about Général Tao:
The food is good, but it’s way too much expensive for nothing. The same dish in chinatown in montreal is 11.99 instead of 20.00 . There is nothing to justify whatsoever the price charged by this restaurant for most dishes. View all feedback.

Although the lunch menu is quite limited, the available dishes are very good and the excellent ersive. the availability of a parking is also a plus.

Chose this from reading all the reviews and was not disappointed. We loved everything we ordered - all the sauces were unique, tasty and not too salty (at our local Chinese restaurant everything tastes the same.) In all of our travels, we have found that Chinese food is just different than in the States and we like it better. Service was prompt and polite and they were able to dig up two English menus which was helpful. Lovely atmosphere in an old Victorian-style home. Close to the airport. Would definitely recommend. Try the Cantonese-style noodles and the sesame beef - delish! Wonton soup was good, too! We walked away feeling quite content with our choice.

Even though they were short staffed, Sara provided excellent service and the food was amazing!

We drive up and see an old Victorian house converted into a restaurant. Prices on the menu saw a little steep for Chinese food. We were completely blown away from our experience. The staff was very friendly, the atmosphere was really good and the food was good from this world. We had the General Tao, shrimps of fried rice and the Szechuan shrimps. All three dishes were delicious. The quality of the food was simply amazing. Go on. We definitely come back to eat here when we've ever been to Quebec City again. I'm sorry we just wanted to dive.

We had the Chinese dinner in two evenings at this wonderful place. In addition to good ambience and food, the most impressive feature of this restaurant is SARAH. She was the most energetic, polite, hospitable person who served us on both days. Despite haste, she has treated all guests with Eloquenz and charm. Their suggested dishes were amazing and perfectly suited our taste buds. Great experience. Must visit!!
