We loved this restaurant when we visited 5 years ago and it still does not disappoint. Table d’hôte has many choices and great value. Croquettes de Parmesan delicious and easy for a couple to share. Steak and beef bourguignon both excellent! Extensive wine list. Nice vibe. View all feedback.
What MichaelK dislikes about Conti Caffè:
Very enjoyable evening. We ordered the risotto of the day (pesto and scallops) and the 10 ounce steak with pepper sauce. Both were excellent; the risotto was perfectly cooked and the scallops were seared nicely...the steak was a proper 10 ounces, and the sauce was very good. We went early (6pm) as the restaurants are full after that. While we had a few different servers the team didn't miss a beat. It's located close... View all feedback.

Fully priced for sure, but well worth it.

We had the most exceptional early dinner at this restaurant! We were recommended by the tour guide to go to this for our meal. It couldn't have been better! Philip, the waiter, was very accommodating, and we were able to order off the menu. I had heard a lot about foie gras in Quebec and was wanting to try it. He was able to acquire it from Le Continental next door, with which they are affiliated. It was one of the highlights of our trip to old Quebec city. The other accompaniments and wine pairings were exceptional! I would love to go back here again!
I had a shrimp, scallop plate here last summer that I still rave about. The best meal I have EVER eaten in my entire life. I cannot wait to go back!
We had a wonderful dinner at Conti last evening recommended by the owner of La Marquise de Barsanno, Francis McKenzie. The atmosphere was cozy and warm, the service perfect and the meal amazing.

We accidentally found ourselves here for just a few appetizers and drinks, but ended up enjoying a full dinner. The presentation was fantastic. The maple turnip soup was exceptional, and the strawberry shortcake is a must-try!
The Provencal shrimp was delightful, but the rice that accompanied it was undercooked and too hard due to insufficient water during preparation. While the service was somewhat slow, even during a non-peak time, the server was friendly.
We had a great meal on a wet Tuesday evening. We had made a (earliest) reservation at 20:00 but we were seated at 19:15. We had mains, desserts and a few drinks. Everything was very tasty with sensible portions and well presented. Service was very friendly and efficient. Our bill including taxes and 18% service was CAN$280 so more than .
Food was delicious, service was excellent and fast, and the music wasn't too loud and created a nice atmosphere.

Would not recommend. Gluten free clearly marked on menu which is a plus. I had the veal medallions. Terrible. The potatoes were dry as paper, veal was chewy, mushroom gravy was average. Overall not tasty. The small serving of carrots on the side was the highlight of the dish.
I had a wonderful experience. The staff was very knowledgeable. I felt safe and good choices of GF. They have a designated fryer. I had a turnip soup and ribs with fries. It was delicious. Bonus, they served a warm bun in a sealed bag. I will be back for sure.
Everything on the menu is clearly marked GF. I had the prosciutto and melon as an appetizer, which was delicious. Then I had the risotto with duck. The food almost looked too good to eat. Followed by creme brûlée. All and all a good meal. Great white zinfandel as well
Gluten free items clearly marked on the menu. They have a variety of gluten free options to choose from. And the best part of all, I didn't have a reaction!

We ate here twice during the music festival. The service was excellent both nights. We eat early and didnt need reservations. I ate the prix fix starting with the gnocchi that was slightly fried which I loved the texture. I also had the minestrone soup. Not a big bowl but just enough. Made different than my Italian mother in laws but was very tasty. One night I had the beef bourguignon with noodles that was ok. I'm honestly not a huge fan of it but I thought I would try it. The other night I had a filet mignon that was cooked to perfection and tasty. Also 1 night I got a pastry tart with blueberries and was definitely fresh as was the canoli I got the other night. I live in Charleston and the food there is really expensive. These meals were very reasonably priced and of course with the strength of the dollar were bargains in my opinion. I highly recommend this restaurant as le Continental next door that is owned by the same person. We have been to Quebec 10 times and eaten at many of the places there. It kind of comes down to what type of food you are in the mood for because most every place we have eaten was not disappointing.
We are here while visiting Quebec City recently and I recommend it! The food was amazing and the atmosphere was fun! I’ll take a moment to call out that not every restaurant would have taken the care Conti did to make sure my daughter had as much fun on our night out as the grownups did. I almost hesitate to write this because clearly Conti is a cool place to go out for a night on the town, but our waiter made sure she had what she needed and was included in the evening. Thank you!

We were in Quebec City on our 49th wedding anniversary. Our travel guide recommended Conti as a place to celebrate. It was an excellent choice. The food was delicious, the customer service was outstanding and the restaurant had a beautiful ambiance. I would highly recommend this restaurant for a special occasion.
Had no reservation but was seated quickly, asked to move table as the music was too loud in that area, no problem , the young lad who was our waiter was friendly and attentive, had the Veal which was delicious as was the creme brulé, husband had the cheesecake said it was one of the best he had tasted. It was so good with decent portions we went back the following night.

Great Food and atmosphere. Beautiful artwork, gracious staff that speaks English and French
Fantastic food and extremely friendly service. Was sorry we couldn't extend our stay longer. If you are in Quebec you can't go wrong here!
Very good food and service... great location. This was our first time there and went on Trip Advisor recommendation.....so many restaurants to choose from! All 4 of us were happy with our dinners....the fixed price menu is definitely a great deal.
My husband and I had an excellent and quiet dinner here on a recent visit to Quebec City. I had veal cannelloni and my husband had a risotto special, both of which were delicious. Service was efficient but unhurried. The tables are well-spaced, which allowed for conversation, which is not always to case in busy Quebec restaurants. While Conti Cafe is not cheap, we felt it was a good value for the quality of food and wine served and we would visit again.
