Had the squid ink and clam pastas which were very good. Service was prompt and attentive, but overall, the meal wasn’t quite enough to differentiate for 5 stars, either value or experience. Interestingly, we ordered 1 full size and 1 half size pastas and could not tell the difference. Tiramisu was a little too much cheese than expected. View all feedback.
What Elizabeth M doesn't like about Bello Ristorante:
This restaurant offers an elevated ambiance with good attentive service. However I wasn't wowed by any of their dishes considering the price point. I'd recommend for the cocktails, I had a Tim Collins and a mimosa but not the food (for reference I got the tartar and carbonara pasta). View all feedback.
Happenstance looking for a place to dine, before leaving the city. “Stumbled” upon this great place after reviewing countless menus. After 3 days, needed a change from outstanding French cuisine! This was it! As I glanced around the room…colleagues from the same meeting also had found the place at separate tables! I just had to try the French Onion soup…my-oh-my! Rich broth, croutons, spectacular toasted cheese and tender onions. Main course was Tagliatelle-ink, with clams, shrimp, and more! Sorry, should’ve photo’d the menu, hopefully the dish photo will do. A MUST, in Quebec! When I’m back in the city, I’m definitely here.
It is hard not to praise them so much it won’t seem suspicious. So I am not going to try: This was the best restaurant experience we have ever had. The food, the presentation, the service, the wines and atmosphere were all superb, timing with the foods and drinks impeccable and overall they overdelivered on every level, from the serving of the delicious bread to the complimentary digestive drinks in the end. We were walk-ins, went in by chance only and almost gave up when they had no table for us and we had to come back in an hour, but I am so glad we waited. Best risotto ever, beautiful desserts, and really, the level of service was incredible. Sorry if this seems over the top, but we travel a lot, eat out a lot, and unfortunately we are not easy to impress anymore but Bello managed to do that.
Comfortable restaurant , with a warm feeling decor. Service was very attentive and professional. Food was good, we split a pizza and a portion of the pasta bolgnese. Portions were generous and both dishes were tasty. But the clear winner of the night was the carpaccio appetizer which was maybe the best one we have had at many an Italian restaurant all over the world. They have a bit of a different take on it which renders it much more delicious and the portion was surprisngly large, very suitable for 3 or 4 to split as an appetizer. Price were very reasonable for the level of dining experience and the menu is adult and kid friendly. This is a good stop for when you want something familiar, filling and satisfying. Not out of this world but a very solid experience!
Outstanding service and good food. We went on a Thursday night and it was packed. Thankfully we had a reservation. Service was remarkable and food was good. We started with the Cesar salads for two. My husband liked it, I thought it was too spicy. I had the tagliatelle funghi it was okay needed more sauce and my husband had the scaloppine parmigiana and loved it. Wine list was good and a nice evening. Be prepared for a busy restaurant it is very popular. My husband said he would definitely go back. Worth the trip
Everything we ate here was superb: croquettes de Parmesan, duck confit salad half portion was huge), tagliatelle funghi, fruite de mare. Younger, high end Italian with great decor and vibe.
